A green card through your family

A citizen or permanent resident can petition for a spouse, parent, child or sibling. The petition is the easy part. The waiting, the interview and the paperwork after it are where families lose time.

We handle both halves: the petition that proves the relationship, and the application that turns an approved petition into a green card, whether you apply from inside the United States or through a consulate abroad.

Each route has its own flat fee: a petition for one relative, a green card application inside the United States or the consulate route. Government filing fees are separate, and we list each one before you sign.

Where families usually start

  • A spouse of a citizen

The most direct route, and the one with the most evidence to gather: photographs, leases, accounts, years of a shared life.

  • Parents, children and siblings

Each relationship has its own category and its own wait. We tell you which one applies and what the wait looks like today.

  • A petition approved years ago

When the date finally arrives, the next step has deadlines of its own. We pick it up from wherever the file stands.

  • Someone who entered without a visa

Some people can apply from inside the country and some cannot. We tell you honestly before you pay for a filing.

Asked about family petitions

Can my relative stay here while we wait?

It depends on how they entered and on their current status. We look at that first, and we say so plainly if waiting here puts them at risk.

How long will it take?

It varies with the relationship, the country and the office handling the file. At your review we give you the current range, never a promise.

What if the government asks for more evidence?

Replies to a request for evidence are inside the flat fee. If an application is denied, we explain why and quote any appeal separately.

A short review is enough to say which petition fits, what it needs and what it costs.
